About us

Somehow, you’ve stumbled across the random ramblings of Logan and Liz. We’re a married twenty-something couple currently calling Chicago our home. We both work and live in and around The Loop. We have a chihuahua named Tito. He undoubtedly wears the pants in our family.

About Logan

Logan grew up in a small town in Indiana, population approximately 635. He is the oldest of three boys. Logan was well-liked throughout school despite never fitting in with any of the stereotypical cliques. He was a band geek, attempted sports until his dad’s sideline coaching led to him quitting; first baseball, then soccer, then basketball. Logan fared well in academics until encountering mathematics above a second-grade level. Having so many skills, but lacking so many others, it was unclear what Logan would do with his life.

Around the age of 11, Logan sat alongside his cousin Becky, whom was watching a tape of Wrestlemania VII. Fascinated by the dramatics of what was then the WWF, his first memory of which was watching Jake “The Snake” Roberts defeat Rick “The Model” Martel in a blindfold match. (Martel had earlier blinded Roberts with his Arrogance on “The Brother Love Show”). It was this fascination with the dramatics that led to Logan’s big dreams of being a TV writer for professional wrestling.

Logan’s desire to write for wrestling continued throughout his four years at South Dearborn High School. During the same four years, Logan had bad hair, met many of his best friends, got a small taste of high school popularity, and spent his junior and senior years going out to sell yearbook ads, but really just eating at Wendy’s, Taco Bell, Arby’s, McDonald’s, etc.

After high school, Logan toyed with the idea of going to college. He went. Then dropped out. Then transferred. Then dropped out again. After being dealt the option to pay rent and portions of utility bills with his $9/hr. paycheck, Logan returned to school at the College of Mount St. Joseph on the West Side of Cincinnati–the birth place of Cornhole. It was here where Logan obtained a B.A. in Communication Arts, met his future wife and amassed thousands of dollars in student loan debt.

Logan gave himself until the age of 25 to achieve his dream of becoming a TV writer for WWE. In order to prepare for this, he began interning at the Heartland Wrestling Association (HWA) under the tutelage of Les Thatcher in 2001. His early days’ duties were glamorous–ranging from cleaning the locker room from where former WCW and current WWE contract wrestlers like Johnny The Bull pissed on the floor and wall, and running to GNC to get protein shakes for Charlie Haas. Working his way up the ladder and spending plenty of time on each rung, Logan began writing HWA’s weekly television show in the summer of 2003. In December 2003, WWE offered Logan a position at their TV studio in Stamford, Connecticut. The position wasn’t quite the fit that he was looking for. He continued running many aspects of the HWA until September of 2004, when he left due to creative differences.

Since departing from the professional wrestling industry, Logan spent a small stint of time as a production assistant in the book publishing industry before working as an interactive copywriter at CoActive Marketing. Just weeks into his new copy writing position, the company laid off interactive producers. What didn’t leave the company, however, was the workload that they were carrying. Logan assumed the responsibilities, and was named an interactive project manager shortly after. He left CoActive Marketing in March 2007 when he accepted a project management position at Arc Worldwide, a Leo Burnett Company.

Stay tuned, as Logan’s life is a work in progress.

About Liz
Liz doesn’t share Logan’s trait of self-importance. She most likely doesn’t want her life story posted here. If so, she’ll write it!
