When asked by my co-workers what I was doing last weekend, I quickly replied “Going to Indy for G.O.A.T.-a-mania”. Which was always met with blank stares, followed by numerous questions, most basically asking wtf? So, I did my best to explain in detail the G.O.A.T. and his parties, but I think people were even more puzzled when I tried to explain in words. G.O.A.T.-a-mania can best be described in pictures…but for those non-visual learners, it’s basically self-importance at it’s best, which as you can all imagine, we thoroughly enjoy.
My personal highlights from GOAT-a-mania include seeing the old crew, meeting Herman (again), seeing Elvis live and in person, jello-shots, Mr. Bigelsworth, singing Rosemary Clooney’s “Mambo Italiano”, Brent and Monica kicking it old school with Wilson Phillips, a cameo from Jody, K-Fed and Brit, Jillian, and Monica’s very, very large cup. My least favorite part was the allergic reaction to the precious Mr. Bigglesworth, which lead for an early departure. All in all, it was an awesome trip. Enjoy the pics!
