Me: “Oh, she’s singing ‘Don’t Leave Me This Way’ by Thelma Houston. I love this song!”
Pause.
Me: “She’s not doing incredibly well.”
Liz: “This isn’t the easiest song to sing.”
Me: “I could do it.”
Liz rolls eyes.
Me: “I think I’ll do it at karaoke. What do you think?”
Liz: “I think it’d be good.”
Me: “I can do the riff.”
Liz: “I know honey, I think that’ll be the best part.”
Me: “Why are you making fun?”
Liz: “I’m not. You’re a really good riffer.”
