loganandliz.com: the mishaps of the mr. and mrs.

Per the usual holiday standard, Liz was showered with gifts from her school children for Valentine’s Day. Which was a huge score for me. Skittles. Necco Conversation Hearts. Liz also received a few of the classic student-to-teacher gift of the Whitman’s chocolate sampler, showcasing Snoopy and other Peanuts on the outside of the little heart-shaped box. I am not a huge chocolate fan, but I’m also not terribly picky when it comes to junk food. After asking permission (never take a woman’s chocolate without permission), I cracked open one of the Whitman’s boxes. And I was a little appalled by what I saw. The Whitman’s chocolate sampler has been downsized from four chocolates to three.

Maybe I was mistaken. I asked Liz how many chocolates were standard as part of Whitman’s sampler. Her answer echoed mine. 4 chocolates. I’m pretty sure that the price of the Whitman’s sampler hasn’t decreased, but just like many other things the quality has. In the wake of this travesty, I’d recommend that Whitman’s change the name from Sampler to Trio of Tastes. And I fully intend on writing them a letter voicing my concerns.

Something to say?
