loganandliz.com: the mishaps of the mr. and mrs.

As I’ve stated before, American Idol is my guilty pleasure. It started out with actually my brother Ryan and I making fun of Brent for watching, and then both of us voting against Clay Aiken in Season 2 to upset Brent. But by the time season 4 rolled around, I was definitely hooked.

Unlike the majority of America, I’m actually quite annoyed by the audition/tryout process. I never watch the show until it gets down to the top 24; I don’t really get caught up in it until it’s down to the Top 12. By then, the competition is on and I’ve usually found the few people I’m really going to back.

The Top 24 were finalized with last night’s episode. And there are three people from Indiana. That means that 1/8 of the hail from the Hoosier State.

There’s Amanda Overmeyer from Mulberry; Amy Jean Davis from Cedar Lake and Luke Menard from Crawfordsville.

I mean, maybe there are some musical performance-enhancing materials in the water there. Have you ever seen me at karaoke? I’m just saying.
