loganandliz.com: the mishaps of the mr. and mrs.

I am not a huge supporter of reality television. But this show caught my interest for two-and-a-half reasons: 1.) It’s a four-night series, so even if I get completely enthralled, it’ll be finished this week; and 2.) There’s a choir from Cincinnati being led by 2.5) Nick Lachey.

Here’s the concept. Five celebrities (term used loosely) return to their hometowns to audition the local talent pool to form a 20-member choir. The choirs have three weeks under the leadership of said stars, and then compete in a four-night competition where TV viewers decide which choir wins. And they’re competing for charities in their hometown.

Growing up in the Cincinnati-area, it’s expected to support the local success stories. You know, the cream of crop: Jerry Springer. Carmen Electra. Nick Lachey.

Nick is the most adored of the aforementioned stars. It’s kind of sick. Everyone in Cincinnati has a Nick Lachey story. They went to school with him. Or did a local production with him when he was in theatre. Or saw him perform at Jim and Jack’s. Or know this lady that used to change his diapers. They get crazier and crazier.

My Nick Lachey story is that I used to work with this lady named Karen who was Nick Lachey’s manager at the Mt. Healthy LaRosa’s. She said he was a hard worker, and a really nice guy. My other Nick Lachey story–without sounding stalker–is that I really want to meet him. And get a picture with him for my MySpace profile.

So, out of love for Cincinnati (and Nick Lachey) I tuned in. I am entirely addicted (again thankful for the four-night run). I even voted. Online and via phone. Cincinnati represent.

And the best part is, if Nick’s Cincinnati Choir wins, the money goes to Children’s Hospital! And you know how much we love Children’s Hospital!!!!!!!!

[…] Even after so many (alleged) plastic surgeries that her face can’t express real emotion, it was easy to tell that Patti was pissed when Team Lachey and the Cincinnati Choir was crowned champion on Clash of the Choirs last night. […]
