When Logan’s Aunt Becky called last week to let us know that her daughter Hailey was sending us something from school in the mail, I was hoping in my heart of hearts that it would be the one and only Flat Stanley. Sure enough, Stanley arrived in a small envelope at our house this weekend! In a totally nerdy teacher way, I am completely psyched! I’ve always wanted to be on the receiving end of this project, and can’t wait to show Stanley a good time. Although it probably won’t be as much fun as he had snowmobiling with the Borgman’s last winter, but that one is hard to beat!
This Saturday, we’re planning on showing Stanley around the Windy City. We’re heading to the Sears Tower, Wrigleyville, Lake Michigan, Soldier Field, Portillo’s, Giordano’s, Buckingham Fountain, the Chicago Theatre and Millenium Park. Both Logan and I are also going to take him to work one day this week. Should be a good time! After all photographic evidence has been uploaded, we’re going to make a small book to send back to Moores Hill with Flat Stanley for the students to enjoy.
We were also thinking of starting an adult Flat Stanley project, but that one is still in the works. Anyone up for drunken photographic adventures with a paper doll? Anyone?
I’m quite curious about this…
