loganandliz.com: the mishaps of the mr. and mrs.

I awoke this morning to find my beautiful bride-to-be in the bustle of making breakfast for the birthday boy. The feast was, appropriately, fit for a king. Fruity Pebble Pancakes and hash brown potatoes. Belly full, I bussed myself in to work.

Work was just okay. But, I did have a very special lunch date with Liz. I vented my frustrations with the inner workings on Floor 15’s cubicles over egg salad and Monterey Jack Chicken.  Once work had ended, I forced my way into the always-full #4 southbound bus. As I turned the key to the apartment, the scent of sweets wafted through the doorway. Once inside (and after my daily kisses from Tito), I spied the culinary creation that is Funfetti cupcakes with Rainbow Chip Icing perched atop the cooling rack. Photographic evidence follows.

After cleansing my pallate with a gin and tonic, Liz and I decided to grab some dinner from La Cantina, right around the corner. It’s a cute little Mexican grill, and we split a delicious entree and some sangria. Afterwards, we spent the evening hanging out and playing with Tito.

This weekend, Liz is going to take me to Red Robin for another birthday meal. Hey, this is only the THIRD celebration. Most of you will remember last year, when I celebrated the entire month. A step in the right direction, I suppose.

Fruity pebble pancakes…now that’s hot. Wish I could have been there for another celebration. Of course, there will be many celebrations for various famous and newly created holidays if I have my way.

I want Fruity Pebble Pancakes when I come to visit.
I’m glad you had a good birthday. You ARE so much closer to 30. And I am grateful for Liz taking you off my hands ;) Much love to you both.

man i could eat like 50 of those cupcakes.

Something to say?
