loganandliz.com: the mishaps of the mr. and mrs.

Last night, it was still really gloomy and gross outside, so we decided to grab dinner and just have a night in. It’s been a long time since we’ve done this, but the evening didn’t disappoint. To start the night off right, we walked up to my most favorite restaurant EVER, Cereality, and loaded up on Fruity Pebbles, Pop Rocks and mallows.

From there, we headed to the video store in the basement of our building. We’ve had our eyes on a certain gem of a VHS for a few weeks now, and were hopeful that it would still be there. After scouring through the racks for almost 15 minutes, we finally found it. We grabbed the box, and headed up the counter to rent the movie dreams are made of. The cashier informed us it was $3.00 to rent OR $3.99 to take it permanently off their hands buy. Geez, you’d think they were trying to get rid of it or something. It is with great pleasure that I inform you all, that we are now the proud owners of Glitter, produced by and starring the one and only Mariah Carey. Try to contain your jealousy here, people!

We decided that in honor of Thirsty Thursday, we should take a drink everytime a) Mariah’s character was divalicious and b) there was a cheesy line. Needless to say, we had to stop drinking 17 minutes into the movie, because up until that point it had been almost one continuous chug, and one of us had to get up early! I wish I could tell you what happened, but we totally crashed. ln all honesty, we were pleasantly surprised to find that Mariah is a very decent actress. I must finish this movie, as I won’t be able to live with myself not knowing whether or not Billie Frank and Dice were able to sell out Madison Square Garden. It was REAL intense!
