I hold in my hot little hands, the keys to our very “sexy” (Chicago speak for “hot”) new loft apartment. We totally landed the yellow balcony, bamboo floor, exposed brick apartment mentioned in a previous post. SCORE! To say we are estatic would be an understatement. Last night, we headed to Home Depot to grab some paint swatches so the magic can begin. Logan is certainly hoping that my many years of watching HGTV, and HGTV only, will pay off as we design our new home together. Those wasted years oughta be good for something, right?
Of course, I’ve already picked out some super cool Ralph Lauren semi-metallic paint in a sexy chocolate/copper shade that would look amazing with the fireplace surround and industrial suspended track lighting system. I’m not sure I’ve totally sold Logan on the idea, but hopefully he’ll trust me enough to give it a go. We’re working on finalizing the shades of celery and gray for the bedroom and bathroom, but need to match them up at their respective stores later this week. We’re hoping to get most things painted and ready to go before the movers and Tito get there. As fun as I imagine painting with Teets to be, I’m gonna have to pass on that adventure this time around.
We’ll be sure to take plenty of pics tonight, so you can see what we’re working with. Hopefullly, the design gods will be on our side, and we’ll get to show you “after” pictures too!
I’m so excited to see pics of this place. It does indeed sound really f-ing sexy.
