Yes, that’s me. And yes, I’m wearing Cubs gear AND drinking a Miller Lite. Please do not adjust your monitors.
We decided to hit the road and head back to Cincinnati on a whirlwind, 36-hour trip home to surprise Liz’s dad for his birthday. Of course, being the master of multi-tasking, I also plotted for enough activities to fill the other 30 hours when we weren’t celebrating. It was really, really good to see everyone–including Tito–and also cross some items of of our “to-do” list. It was an action-packed day and a half, and I’m fighting a losing battle to a foe of mine, fatigue. Here’s a quick run-down of some of my highlights from the trip:
- Post Road
- Tito’s Welcome
- Seeing mom, dad, Brent, Aunt Shirley, Aunt Kay, Aunt Debbie, Jim, Karen, Dave, Yam, and Steve (who has grown at least 3 inches since I’ve moved)
- Picking up the wedding invitations
- Q102 “I Love the 90s” Weekend
- Brent’s Photo Album
- Surprising Jim
- Tube Meat
- The Waitress’ Breakdown
You can’t beat a Post Road pit stop.
